SUMMER FLAVORS SENSATIONS IN EL MEDANO<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Employment and Local Development Agency of the Town Council of Granadilla de Abona in collaboration with the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin Wine  Abona and the Business Association of Granadilla Centro have organized “SUMMER FLAVORS SENSATIONS”.<\/b> the past friday, july 29, 2022<\/strong>The objective is to promote the catering establishments in the municipality in order to publicize the gastronomic excellence of the same increasing tourism and visits and thus commercially revitalize the area.<\/p>\n

The event, which has a great tradition due to its multiple editions, was once again very well received, and was attended by funding by the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife<\/a><\/b>obtained in the framework of the Call for Subsidies for the financing of actions of Commercial Revitalization of urban centers of the island of Tenerife.<\/b> of the year 2022.<\/p>\n

Once again this year the event meant a great projection of the Medano nucleus, positively affecting all the businesses in this area due to the strong attendance of the public that also visits businesses of all kinds, stays in hotels and spends the weekend in this coastal area.<\/p>\n

Restaurants, tascas, bars, cafes, coffee shops, pastry shops, sweet shops, catering companies,  the  partners of the Farmer’s Market of Granadilla de Abona who sold processed products, artisans and food products companies located in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona. A total of 22 tents were available.<\/p>\n

Wineries belonging to the Regulatory Councils of the Abona and Valle de G\u00fc\u00edmar Wine Designations of Origin. A total of 12 tents were available.<\/p>\n

Participants were able to present and market their products at the stands set up for this purpose:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n – The participating restaurants, tascas, catering companies and bars presented their traditional or innovative tapas.<\/u>
\n<\/strong> presented their traditional or innovative tapas, which prioritized the use of raw materials available at the Farmer’s Market and the local primary sector. All the tapas were made for the event. The registration of companies that proposed only the exhibition of their products was not accepted.<\/p>\n

Each establishment presented a maximum of 5 tapas and on the registration form the name of the tapas, the ingredients and prices were stated.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n


\n – The bakeries, sweet shops and ice cream parlors sold their own creations, giving priority to the use of local products and in a convenient stand-up format.<\/u>

The Organizing Committee received the registrations in strict order of arrival and reserves the right to manage the selection of tapas to be presented, since repetitions or preparations that did not meet the minimum quality requirements of the rules were avoided.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

After the closing of the registration period, a working meeting was organized with all the participants to coordinate the final selection of tapas and their presentation, trying, among other things, to avoid repeating the proposals.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

  • \n Wineries belonging to the wine Regulatory Councils were able to sell wine by the glass or by the bottle.<\/u>
